Software Project Manager (m/f/d) with a focus on quality management

We are searching for a Software Project Manager to join our team and help us deliver lasting solutions for our clients in the automotive sector. You will work remotely from Romania, with potential for occasional visits to customers.

Role

As a Software Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth operation of various software projects. You will also be the primary interface with our clients on quality assurance matters.

Responsibilities

• coordinate the activities of local and remote teams
• prepare and deliver status reports
• support the development, improvement and standardisation of methods, processes, and tools
• plan, monitor, and update quality metrics in software product development projects
• participate in internal and external assessments and audits
• collect, analyse and report key progress indicators for software quality
• manage customer issues and feedback according to policies and procedures
• review and release documents
• train engineering staff in quality standards, methods, and processes

Qualifications

• degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields
• 3+ years of professional experience as a project manager; expertise in the automotive industry would be an asset
• experience in working closely with engineering teams
• experience in quality management
• experience in software engineering 
• ability to understand and speak English in a professional context

Soft skills

• strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• ability to work on competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• pro-activeness to provide assistance and support across clients and team members

Desirable skills

• experience using Polarion or similar ALM tools
• experience with JIRA, Confluence, Sharepoint
• knowledge and background in standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 26262, ASPICE
