We are looking for a Software Project Manager with supplier management experience to join our team. The role involves optimising supplier relationships to improve the quality of deliverables for our client's projects in the automotive industry. It is primarily aimed at freelancers looking to work on dynamic projects on a flexible basis. You will work remotely from Romania, with occasional visits to suppliers.

We are expanding and require an experienced Software Project Manager to provide direct support to our clients.
The Role
The ideal candidate will be a key link between our clients and their suppliers, ensuring consistent delivery of high quality software products whilst fostering collaborative relationships. The role involves regular engagement with suppliers, proactive management of supplier related risks, continuous evaluation and feedback on supplier performance and improvement initiatives to enhance supplier capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Manage supplier relationships and performance, building partnerships and addressing any issues.
Facilitate regular meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders to discuss project status and objectives.
Identify, analyse and manage potential or existing supplier-related risks that could affect project delivery.
Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements and standards for future projects.
Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management, providing updates on milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field
Minimum of three years of experience in project management, particularly in the automotive industry
Proven supplier management experience with a track record of managing suppliers and achieving positive results
Project management certifications, such as PMP, desirable
Very good negotiation skills
Very good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate project status to stakeholders at all levels
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to manage complex projects and deal with potential obstacles
Desirable skills
Experience with Polarion or similar ALM tools
Experience of JIRA, Confluence and Sharepoint
Knowledge and background in standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ASPICE
